Responsibilities
Prepare the operating theatre before surgical procedures, ensuring that instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and functional.
Assist the surgical team during operations by performing scrub and circulating nurse duties as assigned.
Maintain strict aseptic techniques and ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.
Count and account for surgical instruments, needles, swabs, and other materials before, during, and after procedures, in accordance with established protocols.
Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgical procedures and provide appropriate preoperative care. etc.
Requirements & Skills
Must be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid professional licence from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of Ghana.
Must have at least two (2) years of relevant working experience in an operating theatre or surgical setting.
Specialized training or certification in Theatre/Perioperative Nursing is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection prevention and control. etc.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
