Construction Welder

Perform welding work using appropriate methods, such as Arc Welding (SMAW) and MIG/TIG welding, depending on project requirements. Weld steel structures, metal frames, pipes, brackets, and other metal components according to drawings and specifications. Read and interpret basic technical drawings, measurements, and welding instructions. Prepare metal surfaces by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and aligning materials before welding. Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with project requirements. Operate and maintain welding machines, tools, and equipment safely. Follow workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Work with engineers, fitters, and other construction workers to complete tasks on schedule. Report defective materials, equipment problems, and welding quality issues to the supervisor.

Relevant welding experience in construction, steel fabrication, or industrial maintenance. Knowledge of Arc Welding and basic metal fabrication techniques. Ability to read basic technical drawings is an advantage. Familiarity with welding tools, safety procedures, and PPE. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Welding certificate or vocational training is an advantage.
