Responsibilities
The Math Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Singapore Math and Cambridge IGCSE/A-Level curricula, adapting content to suit varied learning levels while emphasizing problem-solving, heuristics, and real-world applications. Responsibilities include preparing, administering, and grading assignments, tests, and mock exams, tracking student progress against Cambridge assessment objectives, and providing timely feedback to students and parents. The teacher will maintain a positive, disciplined classroom environment, keep accurate records of attendance and grades, and submit reports as required. Additional duties involve identifying and supporting struggling students through remedial sessions, coaching students for IGCSE and A-Level examinations, collaborating with staff in departmental meetings and professional development workshops, and supervising extra-curricular activities such as math club or Olympiad training, including exam invigilation duties.
Requirements & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, education, or related field. B.Ed or pgde
solid understanding of cambridge assessment objectives, marking schemes, and singapore math cpa approach + heuristics.
Deep knowledge of primary and secondary math topics - algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, probability.
Strong grasp of singapore math methods, problem-solving strategies, and cambridge inquiry-based learning.
Clear explanation of complex concepts. Excellent written and verbal english.
Ability to engage diverse learners and maintain a positive, disciplined environment.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
