The Physician Assistant will provide quality primary and outpatient healthcare services to patients, conduct patient history-taking and clinical assessments, perform physical examinations, diagnose and manage common medical conditions within the scope of practice, prescribe and administer appropriate treatment in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations, request and interpret relevant laboratory and diagnostic investigations, monitor patients’ progress and provide appropriate follow-up care, assist in minor clinical procedures and emergency management, provide health education and counselling to patients, maintain accurate and confidential medical records, refer patients to medical specialists or higher-level facilities when necessary, promote infection prevention and patient safety, and work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and patient-centred care.

Applicants must hold a recognised qualification in Physician Assistantship and be duly registered with the relevant professional regulatory body in Ghana, with a valid practising licence. The candidate should have relevant clinical experience, preferably in a clinic, hospital, or outpatient healthcare setting, and possess sound knowledge of patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, basic emergency care, and clinical procedures within the approved scope of practice. The applicant must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good clinical judgement, strong attention to detail, professionalism, compassion, integrity, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Applicants must reside in Tema, preferably within a reasonable distance from Tema Community 12and must be punctual, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality patient care.
