Responsibilities
The Dispensary Technician will assist the licensed pharmacist in accurately dispensing prescribed medications, receiving and processing prescriptions, managing pharmaceutical inventory including stock-taking and reordering, ensuring proper storage, labeling and handling of all drugs and medical supplies, maintaining accurate records of dispensed medications, providing basic drug information and usage instructions to patients under supervision, ensuring full compliance with pharmacy laws and clinic policies, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dispensary.
Requirements & Skills
Diploma or Certificate in Dispensary Technology / Pharmacy Technician from a recognized institution.
- Must be licensed by the Pharmacy Council of Ghana with valid certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a hospital, clinic, or retail pharmacy.
- Good knowledge of drug classification, dosage, and dispensing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Must reside in or around Tema and be ready to start immediately.
