Cashier
Key responsibilities
• Customer service, take/confirm orders and process payments cash.
• Operate POS; maintain and reconcile the cash at the end of shift.
• Record sales, prepare daily sales reports and hand over cash safely.
• Record and manage stocks.
• Handle customer queries, returns and simple complaints; escalate when necessary.
• Keep cashier area clean, organized and secure.
Requirements & Skills
• Good calculation skills and attention to detail.
• Good customer-service and communication skills in English.
• Honest, reliable, trustworthy with cash-handling integrity.
• Basic digital literacy (PC/ phones/tablets).
Minimum Qualification Requirements
• shs / wassce. Practical experience may substitute for formal training.
Minimum Experience
2 years
The Cashier is responsible for welcoming customers, taking orders, and accurately processing payments using cash, card, or mobile money. The role involves customer service, taking orders and communicating with the kitchen for the orders, balancing the cash drawer at the end of each shift, and keeping proper sales records. The Cashier also handles basic customer enquiries and ensures the front counter area is clean, organized, and professional at all times.
