Kuroiler breed of chicken is consistently changing the poultry industry. Kuroiler chicken was developed in India by crossbreeding colored broiler male with Rhode island red. It has all the advantages of local chickens and yet performs almost as a good broiler and layer breed of chicken. It is more resistant to diseases than the typical broiler or layer breed and can be easily treated by mixing Vitamins in feed and water.
Kuroiler hens at five months should start laying eggs continuously for 2 years, it can lay about 150-200 in a year and lays comparatively bigger eggs with yellow yoke.
Their fertilized eggs gives good hatchability results. Kuroiler grows about double the body weight of indigenous breed which means providing much more meat. Hen mature between 2 to 4 months and weighs about 2-3kg. A mature kuroiler cock weigh about 4-5kg
