Chinese–English Interpreter

Provide accurate oral interpretation between Mandarin Chinese and English. Interpret during meetings, staff communication, customer discussions, supplier negotiations and external visits. Clearly communicate work instructions from Chinese management to local employees. Help Chinese management communicate effectively with employees, customers, suppliers and other external parties. Ensure that all spoken information is interpreted completely and accurately without changing the original meaning. Ask for clarification when necessary to avoid misunderstandings. Maintain confidentiality regarding company information and internal discussions. Perform other interpretation-related duties assigned by management.

Must be fluent and highly proficient in spoken Mandarin Chinese and English. Must be able to interpret conversations independently, smoothly and accurately. Strong listening, communication and interpersonal skills. Able to understand different speaking styles, accents and work-related expressions. Responsible, patient, professional and attentive to detail. Able to work on-site in office, factory and customer-facing environments. Ability to read Chinese is an advantage but is not compulsory. Ability to speak Twi or any other Ghanaian local language is an advantage. Previous interpretation experience or experience working with a Chinese company is preferred. Formal Chinese-language qualifications or an HSK certificate are an advantage, but practical spoken Chinese proficiency is the main requirement.
