Responsibilities
Ordinary Factory Hand – Responsibilities An Ordinary Factory Hand assists in the day-to-day production activities of a factory. Their duties include loading and unloading materials, sorting and packaging products, operating simple machinery under supervision, and keeping the work area clean and organized. They are expected to follow instructions from supervisors, comply with company policies, and observe all health and safety regulations by using the required protective equipment. Factory hands also help inspect products for visible defects, report equipment faults or unsafe conditions, and support inventory handling when required. They must work efficiently to meet production targets, cooperate with colleagues, maintain punctuality and discipline, and contribute to a safe and productive working environment.
Requirements & Skills
Requirements and Skills for an Ordinary Factory Hand Minimum of a basic education (JHS/SHS certificate is an advantage). Physically fit and able to stand, lift, and carry materials for extended periods. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision. Good attention to detail to maintain product quality. Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good time management and punctuality. Honest, disciplined, and reliable with a strong work ethic. Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime when required. Basic communication skills in English and/or the local language. Previous factory or warehouse experience is an added advantage but not always required. Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing production needs.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Minimum Qualification Junior High School (JHS) Certificate or equivalent. Ability to read and understand basic work instructions and safety guidelines. Good physical fitness and willingness to work in a factory environment. Previous factory or production experience is an added advantage but not mandatory, as successful applicants may receive on-the-job training.
