Responsibilities of a Hair Braider – Mane Distrikt 1. Provide professional braiding services, including box braids, knotless braids, cornrows, twists, Fulani braids and other styles. 2. Ensure neat parting, clean finishing and quality workmanship. 3. Prepare clients’ hair properly and handle their natural hair with care. 4. Consult with clients and offer appropriate hairstyle recommendations. 5. Maintain excellent customer service and treat clients with courtesy and respect. 6. Keep the workstation, tools and salon environment clean and hygienic. 7. Manage time effectively and complete appointments within reasonable timeframes. 8. Use salon products and equipment responsibly and avoid wastage. 9. Maintain punctuality, professionalism and a presentable appearance. 10. Follow salon policies, work collaboratively with colleagues and uphold Mane Distrikt’s standards.

Requirements & Skills – Hair Braider 1. Proven experience in professional hair braiding. 2. Must be skilled in box braids, knotless braids, stitch cornrows, twists and Fulani braids. 3. Ability to achieve neat parting, clean finishing and consistent braid sizes. 4. Knowledge of hair preparation, treatment and basic hair care. 5. Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality. 6. Good communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Excellent customer service and attention to detail. 8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 9. Good hygiene and organisational skills. 10. Punctual, disciplined, hardworking and professional. 11. Willingness to learn new techniques and improve existing skills. 12. Must reside in Spintex or its surrounding communities.

Minimum Qualification Requirements 1. Must have completed professional hairdressing or braiding training, either through an accredited institution or apprenticeship. 2. Minimum of 1–2 years’ practical braiding experience. 3. Must have a portfolio of previous hairstyles or pictures of completed work. 4. Must demonstrate practical proficiency in the required braiding styles. 5. Must be willing to work on-site at Mane Distrikt Braids in Spintex.
