Pig Farm Worker

Feeding and Watering: Give the correct food and clean water to pigs based on their age and growth stage. Cleaning and Hygiene: Clean pens, remove manure, and wash down housing units to keep the farm safe and sanitary. Health Monitoring: Watch the herd for signs of sickness or injury, and give medications or vaccines as directed. Breeding and Birthing: Assist with heat detection, artificial insemination, and looking after sows during farrowing (giving birth). Maintenance: Fix broken fences, clean water lines, and maintain basic farm tools or machinery. Record Keeping: Write down feed amounts, animal weights, and health or birth updates

Animal Husbandry: Good understanding of pig behavior, feeding, and humane handling. Physical Fitness: Ability to do heavy physical labor, lift heavy feed bags, and stand for long hours. Attention to Detail: Quick to spot health issues or broken equipment. Safety and Biosecurity: Willing to follow strict rules to stop diseases from spreading on the farm.
