The 2023 Honda CR-V uses a radar-based Blind Spot Information (BSI) system designed to detect vehicles in your side blind spots. Due to global semiconductor shortages during production, some 2023 units were shipped without the BSI system, though it remained standard on higher trims like the Sport Touring.
How the System Works
Detection Range: The radar sensors monitor approximately 10 feet on each side of the vehicle and 15 feet behind the front doors.
Visual Alerts: An icon illuminates in the corresponding side mirror when a vehicle is detected.
Audible Alerts: If you activate your turn signal while a vehicle is in your blind spot, the icon flashes and an audible beep sounds.
Customization: You can adjust these settings...
