I am kwabena frimpong boateng, currently the chief justice of koforidua technical university students'representative council. i am offering a bachelor of technology in environmental management and technology. during my higher national diploma thesis i employed gis and remote sensing to locate potential lands for landfill site selection. i have performed several activities and analysis in the area of remote sensing including using the normalized vegetation index algorithm to monitor vegetation growth in some parts of ghana.
i have sufficient skills in geographic information systems and remote sensing, and am looking forward to improve this skill so that i will be a national asset who will contribute to land use planning and urban development. i have worked with the department of environmental management and technology as a teaching assistant where i tutored student on gis lap work.
