Suspended between earth and spirit, this work explores awakening as a process of inner alignment rather than escape. A solitary figure sits in meditation at the center of the composition, illuminated by a radiant aura while energy points emerge throughout the body like awakened centers of consciousness. The figure appears weightless, yet deeply connected—both rising and rooted at the same time.
Beneath the body, dark organic forms descend into visible roots, anchoring the spiritual ascent into the physical world. The painting rejects the idea that enlightenment exists apart from human experience; instead, it suggests that true awakening grows from confronting darkness, memory, and the hidden depths of the self.
The contrast between the luminous upper space and the shadowed lower half symbolizes duality: spirit and body.
