This fargo HID 8500 ID is an incredible ID card printer. Almost every part of the machine is metal. It is a super-fast, Highly Secured ID Card Printer. It has 2 input hoppers each hopper picks up to 200 blank cards. In effect the machine can hold up to 400 cards at a time. Again, both input hoppers and the output hopper comes with a physical keys that you can use to lock, so that even before or after printing, no person can have access to the cards. Even the machine’s internal components can only be accessed with a key. It is highly secured. I don’t know what more to say. Just look at the machine and judge for yourself.
Regarding the print quality, the least I say the better. I can bet you, no printer in the ID card market can match. It uses the thermal re-transfer technology for printing.
