Microscope slide — Use
A microscope slide is a thin flat piece of glass used to hold specimens for examination under a microscope.
Main uses:
• Holding blood samples for laboratory testing
• Examining microorganisms (bacteria, parasites, fungi)
• Viewing cells and tissues in medical or research labs
• Preparing samples for staining procedures (e.g., malaria test, Gram stain)
• Teaching and scientific demonstrations
Usually used together with a cover slip to protect the specimen and improve visibility under the microscope.
