Security and Traffic Officer

Key Responsibilities Control access to the school and prevent unauthorized entry. Receive, verify and direct visitors appropriately. Manage vehicle and pedestrian movement during drop-off and pick-up. Keep the school entrance and surrounding area safe and free from congestion. Support the safe arrival and collection of pupils. Patrol the premises and report security risks, hazards or suspicious activity. Maintain visitor, vehicle and incident records. Respond calmly and promptly to emergencies. Protect school property and help secure the premises. Follow all child-safeguarding and confidentiality rules.

Requirements and Skills Minimum qualification: SHS/WASSCE or equivalent. A year of relevant security, gatekeeping or traffic-control experience. Previous experience in a school or recognised security organisation is an advantage. Honest, punctual, observant and physically fit. Calm and respectful when dealing with children, parents, staff and visitors. Good communication skills. Must be willing to work outdoors for extended periods. Applicants living in Darkuman or nearby communities will have an advantage. First-aid or safety training is an advantage.

* SHS/WASSCE or equivalent qualification. * A year of experience in security, gatekeeping, traffic control or a related role. * Ability to read, write and maintain basic visitor and incident records. * Good communication skills and the ability to deal respectfully with children, parents, staff and visitors. * Physically fit and able to stand or work outdoors for extended periods. * Valid Ghana Card and two verifiable referees. * Willingness to undergo reference and background checks. Previous school-security experience, first-aid training, recognised security training and residence near Darkuman are advantages, but not compulsory.
