Tylosin tartrate is a macrolide antibiotic effective against Gram-positive bacteria, Mycoplasma spp., and some Gram-negatives like Pasteurella, Campylobacter, and Treponema.
Widely used in cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, and in some formulations—dogs and cats (off-label and with caution).
Species Dosage Example
Cattle 10 mg/kg bw → approx. 1 ml per 20–30 kg once daily, for 3–5 days
Sheep, Goats Around 1 ml per 20 kg depending on brand; 2.5–3 ml/100 kg bw
Pigs 5–13 mg/kg bw (approx. 0.25–0.65 ml per 10 kg) once/twice daily for 3–5 days
Poultry Often administered via drinking water or IM: ~20 mg/kg bw for 3 days
Dogs/Cats Some sources list 0.5–2 ml per 10 kg for 3–5 days (off-label; veterinary guidance required)
