Tilapia fish farm workers handle daily care, feeding, and monitoring of fish stocks in ponds, tanks, or cages. They measure water quality parameters such as temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, and ammonia, adjusting aeration and water exchange to keep conditions optimal. Workers sort and grade fish by size, remove mortalities, and observe behavior to detect disease or stress early. They administer feed rations, record growth and feed conversion, and maintain equipment like nets, pumps, and feeders. Cleaning ponds, repairing infrastructure, and assisting with stocking and harvesting are routine tasks. They follow biosecurity and safety procedures, keep accurate logs, and may transport fish or coordinate sales and deliveries. Additionally, they support breeding programs by selecting broodstock, collecting eggs or fry, and maintaining hatchery conditions.
