Bass Guitarist Needed for a Church to Play Twice a Week.

Responsibilities Play the bass guitar to provide the rhythmic foundation and low-frequency harmony for musical performances. Maintain a steady rhythm and coordinate with the drummer and other instrumentalists. Learn, rehearse and perform songs according to the musical arrangement. Follow the direction of the music director, band leader or worship leader. Attend rehearsals, services, concerts and other scheduled performances. Ensure that the bass guitar and related equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition. Adjust playing style to suit different musical genres and performance settings. Work collaboratively with other band members to ensure smooth and coordinated performances.

Skills Good knowledge of bass guitar techniques, chords, scales and musical timing. Strong sense of rhythm, tempo and harmony. Ability to read basic musical notation or chord charts. Good listening skills and the ability to play in sync with other musicians. Ability to learn songs quickly and perform confidently. Teamwork, discipline and effective communication. Creativity, adaptability and willingness to learn. Ability to troubleshoot basic instrument and sound equipment issues

Requirements Basic to intermediate proficiency in playing the bass guitar. Basic understanding of music theory, rhythm, chords and scales. Practical experience playing with a band, church music team or other musical group is an advantage. Ability to attend rehearsals and scheduled performances regularly. Ability to maintain and handle musical instruments and equipment responsibly. A positive attitude, commitment, punctuality and willingness to follow musical direction.
