Electric Wire Embedder, an essential tool for beekeepers when assembling hive frames.
Its primary purpose is to securely attach a sheet of beeswax foundation to the thin support wires strung across a wooden frame.
How it Works
• The Process: The beekeeper places a sheet of wax foundation onto the frame wires. The two alligator clips (red and black) are attached to the ends of the frame's support wire.
• The Science: When plugged in, the device sends a low-voltage electrical current through the wire. The electrical resistance causes the wire to heat up rapidly.
• The Result: The heated wire slightly melts the beeswax, allowing it to sink into the wax. Once the power is disconnected, the wax cools and hardens instantly, "embedding" the wire inside the sheet for a strong, permanent bond.
