Accounts Officer Wanted

Record daily sales and expenses accurately Reconcile cash, POS, and mobile money transactions Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports Maintain accurate general ledger entries Monitor accounts receivable and payable Reconcile physical stock with system records Monitor stock variances and investigate discrepancies Track product costs and profit margins Support stock audits and stock counts Monitor slow-moving and dead stock items Prepare sales performance reports using Excel Analyze product movement trends Monitor gross margins by SKU/category Track staff sales performance metrics Generate dashboards for management review Track contractor credit sales Monitor outstanding balances Follow up on overdue payments Prepare aging analysis reports Ensure proper documentation of all transactions Maintain organized filing system (physical and digital) Ensure VAT and statutory compliance support Assist with audits when required

4 years experience in retail accounting or inventory-heavy business experience in construction materials or fmcg retail is an advantage strong proficiency in microsoft excel: pivot tables vlookup / xlookup if functions basic data analysis financial modeling basics familiarity with pos systems knowledge of accounting software (e.G., odoo, quickbooks, sage) is a plus high attention to detail strong analytical skills integrity and confidentiality ability to detect discrepancies good communication skills ability to work under pressure
