When we are talking about Mason/bricklayer is not everyone that have trowel and spirit level call Mason.! I've seen a situation where Mason can't set common profile, I've seen a situation where Mason can only set block but can't do plaster! I've seen a situation where Mason can't do dressing! Oh why? As a Mason you must be able to:- read building plans, setting of blocks, plastering, setting of profile, know quantity of materials from foundation to gable, sketch plan, ratio to apply for dosage of materials, as a Mason you must be able to know how to manage site to finishing level.! As I'm 25 years experience in this construction industry, i am open for both contracts and daily services. Normal payment for Mason is GHC 200 per day, labour GHC 170 per day, then as a Foreman GHC 250 per day.
