Technician – Woodwork / Production Installation

Use these key responsibilities.. Lead and supervise all woodwork, carpentry, joinery, production and installation activities. Plan, coordinate and monitor production and installation activities to ensure project requirements and deadlines are achieved. Supervise the fabrication of doors, furniture, fittings, wooden components and other related products in accordance with approved drawings and specifications. Coordinate site measurements and installation requirements to ensure accurate fitting and proper execution. Inspect completed products and installations and ensure defects, rework and deficiencies are identified and corrected. Supervise installation teams to ensure proper fitting, alignment, adjustment and finishing of fabricated products. Coordinate with the Architectural Designer, Quantity Surveyor, Site/Project Teams and Management on production and installation requirements. Practical knowledge and hands-on experience in woodworking, carpentry, joinery, furniture/door production, cabinetry or related woodwork. Experience in both workshop production and on-site installation will be highly advantageous. Ability to use woodworking tools, equipment and machinery safely and effectively. Good understanding of measurements, cutting, assembly, fitting and finishing techniques. Ability to read and follow basic technical drawings and production specifications. Ability to carry out accurate site measurements and fitting adjustments. Ability to identify and correct basic production and installation defects. Good work ethic, discipline, attention to detail and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
