To calibrate the front millimeter-wave radar sensor on a 2017–2022 Honda Accord, you must complete either a Static Radar Aiming procedure using a metallic corner reflector target or a Dynamic Radar Aiming procedure on the open road.
On this generation of the Accord, the radar sensor is located low in the center of the lower front bumper grille. If it was recently disturbed due to a front-end collision, bumper removal, or grille adjustment, the system will throw DTC P2583-54 (Radar Aiming Incomplete).
Step 1: Pre-Aiming Inspection & Physical Adjustment
The software routine will fail or abort mid-test if the physical sensor parameters are incorrect.
Check the hardware: Inspect the radar unit in the lower bumper grille. Ensure it is tightly clipped into its mounting bracket and the bracket is not bent.
