Powering and Setup: Ensure fresh batteries are installed (requires 8 × 1.5V AA). Rotate the central selector knob from OFF to your desired te voltage. LOOP: Measures the earth fault loop impedance without tripping standard RCDs. RCD ×1/2: Tests the RCD to ensure it does not trip at half its rated current (nuisance trip test). RCD ×1: Tests the standard trip time at the RCD's rated leakage current. RCD ×5: Fast-trip testing at five times the rated leakage current. AUTO RAMP: Gradually increases current to find the precise threshold where the RCD trips Connecting and Testing: Plug your test leads into the top inputs of the tester and connect them to the circuit under test. Verify that the screen shows a stable voltage reading. Press the prominent white MEASURE button to initiate the test sequence.
