A rotary vane vacuum pump is a positive-displacement machine that uses a rotor with sliding vanes mounted off-center inside a cylindrical housing to trap, compress, and exhaust gas, creating a low-to-medium vacuum. How It WorksRotor Placement: A round rotor spins inside a larger, offset cylindrical cavity.Vane Movement: Centrifugal force pushes sliding vanes outward to seal against the outer walls.Chamber Compression: The vanes form pockets of expanding and shrinking volume, pulling gas in from the inlet and pushing it out the exhaust.Sealing Methods: Units can be oil-lubricated (for deeper vacuums and high sealing efficiency) or dry-running (completely oil-free).
