Stem Special Education Facilitator - Robotics Program for Children

• Deliver structured 10-week robotics curriculum using mBot kits • Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs of autistic children • Create predictable, visually-supported learning environments • Track student progress and provide regular feedback • Follow established safety and equipment protocols • Collaborate with program coordinator and fellow facilitators • Maintain professional communication with parents/guardians • Attend required training sessions

**Technical Skills:** Experience with robotics/coding (mBot/Scratch experience preferred but training provided) • **Teaching Approach:** Patient, structured, and adaptable teaching style • **Communication:** Clear, consistent communication abilities • **Special Needs Understanding:** Experience or strong interest in working with autistic children • **Reliability:** Punctual, responsible, and detail-oriented • **Team Player:** Collaborative spirit with ability to work independently • Formal training in special education, occupational therapy, or related field • Previous experience with autism support organizations • Background in STEM education or child development

📚 **Minimum Qualifications:** • Diploma or degree in Education, Psychology, Special Needs Education, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • OR minimum 1 year of hands-on experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, or therapy) • Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new technology • Excellent references from previous employers or volunteer organizations • Must pass background check
