Description and uses of a oxygen regulator

+14
An oxygen regulator is
a critical medical or industrial device designed to reduce the high pressure of stored oxygen in a cylinder to a safe, low-pressure level for direct, controlled delivery. Often referred to as a "pressure reducer," it enables safe usage of oxygen in home healthcare, hospitals, and emergency services.
Description and Components
An oxygen regulator connects directly to the top of an oxygen cylinder and usually includes the following components:
High-Pressure Gauge: Measures the amount of oxygen left in the tank (usually in PSI), with a "red zone" indicating when it is nearly empty.
Flowmeter/Dial: Controls the flow rate of oxygen, measured in Liters Per Minute (LPM).
