Responsibilities
Electrical Engineer – Key Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise electrical MEP works on construction projects from installation through testing, commissioning, and handover.
* Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Coordinate electrical works with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and other project disciplines.
* Supervise site installation of LV/MV electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and containment systems.
* Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
* Ensure electrical installations comply with approved drawings, applicable standards, specifications, and local regulations.
* Monitor site progress, manpower, materials, and resources to ensure works are completed within the project schedule.
Requirements & Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
* Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in MEP/construction projects.
* Strong experience in building electrical services and site execution.
* Good knowledge of LV electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and containment systems.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.
* Experience in reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM is an advantage.
* Good understanding of electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
* Strong knowledge of applicable electrical standards, codes, and safety requirements.
* Good coordination skills with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other MEP disciplines.
* Ability to manage site activities, manpower, materials, and project schedule
