- Residency: Must be ordinarily resident in Ghana.
- Identification: Must possess a valid National ID (Ghana Card) if a Ghanaian citizen, or a valid Passport and residence permit if a foreign resident.
- Statutory Qualifications: In strict compliance with Section 211 of Act 992, candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria:
Be a barrister or solicitor in good standing in the Republic of Ghana.
Be a member in good standing of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.
Be a member in good standing of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
Hold a professional or tertiary-level degree in a discipline featuring company law practice and administration.
Have previously served as a Company Secretary trainee or articled under a qualified Company Secretary for at least three years.
