Full Electronic.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Supports boot lid weight: It carries most of the weight of the trunk so you don’t have to lift it manually.
2. Holds boot open safely: Keeps the boot lid fixed in an open position so it doesn’t fall unexpectedly.
3. Controlled closing motion: Helps the boot close gently, reducing slamming and damage.
WHY IT MUST BE REPLACED:
1. Loss of gas pressure: Over time, the internal gas leaks out, making it weak.
2. Boot won’t stay open: A worn strut can cause the boot to slowly fall down—dangerous and annoying.
3. Slow or uneven lifting: The boot may feel heavy or refuse to rise properly.
4. Noise or stiffness: You may hear squeaking or feel resistance when opening.
5. Safety risk: A failing strut can cause the boot lid to drop suddenly and injure someone or damage the car.
