Boot Sensor = small switch/sensor that tells your car if the boot (trunk) is open or closed.
Where is it?
Inside the boot lock / latch mechanism. Some cars have it on the boot lid edge.
What does it do?
• Turns on the boot light
• Shows warning on dashboard: "Boot Open"
• Allows central locking to lock the boot
• For some cars, stops the alarm from going off
• In smart cars, stops you from driving fast if boot is open
