Oxygen Sensor - also called O2 Sensor or Lambda Sensor.
What it does:
It sits in your exhaust pipe and measures how much unburnt oxygen is in the exhaust smoke. Then it tells the computer whether the engine is burning too much fuel or too little fuel.
Computer uses that info to adjust fuel - so you save fuel and reduce smoke.
