Thermostat Switch / Fan Switch (Temperature Sensor):
On the side of the engine. Electrical. Tells fan to turn ON.
When bad: Fan doesn't turn on, so car overheats in traffic, but OK on highway.
Signs of bad thermostat:
• Temperature gauge goes high in traffic / uphill
• Top radiator hose hot, bottom hose cold (means thermostat stuck closed)
