Damp Proof Membrane (DPM) is a material that act as a barrier to the passage of moisture or underground water rising by capillary action. Not all rubbers are dpm materials except those as tested and approved by agencies like the BBA, BS, GRI, ASTM etc.
The type here is manufactured from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) hense, it's anti-aging, tough, UV stabilizer and UV absorbent and it is British Standard (BS) Approved.
It comes in various sizes and thicknesses such as;
1. 300 microns or 0.3mm or 1,200 gauge. Dimension is 4m x 25m covering an area of 100m2.
2. 500 microns or 0.5mm or 2,000 gauge. Dimension is 12.5m x 4m covering an area of 50m2
Colours ranges from; Black, ash, gray, light blue, blue, plain or transparent and even green. Available and most common are black, ash, gray and light blue.
