Loan processing: Receive, review, and process loan applications in accordance with the organization’s lending policies.
Credit assessment: Evaluate borrowers’ income, financial position, credit history, repayment capacity, and associated risks.
Portfolio monitoring: Regularly monitor outstanding loans, repayment schedules, arrears, and the overall loan portfolio.
Customer relationship management: Maintain professional relationships with borrowers and provide guidance on repayment obligations.
Debt collection: Contact customers with overdue payments through calls, messages, and/or meetings and agree on appropriate repayment arrangements.
Recovery of delinquent loans: Follow up on seriously overdue accounts and implement approved recovery procedures.
Field visits: Visit borrowers, businesses, or guarantors where necessary to verify information and facilitate recovery.
Collateral and guarantor follow-up: Monitor pledged security and communicate with guarantors when borrowers default.
