This is Chelsea's new Third kit for the 23/24 season. The predominant mint foam colour seen on the shirt, shorts, and socks draws inspiration from two distinct eras in the club's history.
Firstly, it pays homage to the Eton Blue, which was worn by Chelsea's very first players. This colour choice dates back to the early years and was inspired by the racing colours of the club president. It's a lighter shade than the more familiar blues that Chelsea is known for, and although it was only used for two seasons (1905-07), that iconic look is still cherished.
In crafting the third kit for this season, they've also taken inspiration from the 'jade' hue from the away kit of 1986/87.
